Job summary

Lochner and Egis are seeking a seasonal intern to join our Texas team in Round Rock, TX. The internship offers exposure to transportation design and analysis, working under experienced engineers on roadway, bridge, and traffic projects.

You should be pursuing a BSCE, expect to graduate soon, and have strong communication skills; EIT may be pursued. This role provides hands-on experience with plans, specs, and cost estimates, plus documentation management.

Qualifications

  • Expected to graduate in 1–2 years with a BSCE in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CADD software is a plus.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain prior to graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform roadway, bridge and traffic engineering design under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
  • Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.

The Impact You'll Make
