Job summary

Egis, in collaboration with Lochner, is seeking a seasonal civil engineering intern to join our Texas team in San Antonio. You will assist with roadway, bridge, and traffic design under supervision, helping develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for real infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BSCE, may be within 1–2 years of graduation, with strong communication skills and a familiarity with CAD software considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering is a plus but not required.
  • Eligible to graduate within 1–2 years from an accredited Engineering college program with a BSCE in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CADD software is a plus.
  • EIT certification or the ability to obtain one prior to graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform roadway, bridge and traffic engineering design under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
  • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates with the project team.
  • Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.

The Impact You'll Make
