Commonwealth Senior Living in Richmond, VA seeks a Resident Programs Director to plan and supervise the “Sweet Memories” and Assisted Living activities, ensuring residents stay engaged, healthy, and active.

The role supports the Resident Care Director, oversees memory care activities, and coordinates assessments, care plans, and family meetings while managing volunteers and transportation.

Qualifications

• Two years’ college in a health care field or an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
• CPR and First Aid certification are required.
• Must have thorough knowledge of social and psychological needs of residents.
• Universal Assessment Instrument & ISP certificates or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Designs a creative activity program based on company standards to meet individual needs and interests; plans seven-day calendar with group and one-to-one activities.
• Work closely with the Resident Care Director daily to serve residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Monitors day-to-day operation of the Sweet Memories Neighborhood, ADLs, meals, cleanliness, and documentation of activities.
• Follow state-mandated Assisted Living Facility regulations and participate in CSL Signature Service Programs.
• Manage volunteers and oversee transportation for outings and medical trips; coordinate special events.
