Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at South Boston is seeking a Resident Programs Director to plan, supervise and monitor the “Sweet Memories” and Assisted Living Activity programs to meet the specific needs of each and all residents in order to ensure the residents remain as engaged, healthy and as active as possible.

Assists the Resident Care Director in maintaining the physical and emotional health of the resident.

Qualifications

• Two years’ college in a health care field or equivalent activities credential.
• One to Two years’ full-time experience in activities program in adult care.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• UAIs/ISPs knowledge or willing to obtain.
• Knowledge of social and psychological needs of residents.
• Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to drive with insurability on company policy.

Responsibilities

• Designs a creative activity program and 7-day calendar to engage residents.
• Coordinate with Resident Care Director daily to serve residents and families.
• Monitor daily operations of the Sweet Memories neighborhood and document care.
• Ensure compliance with state Assisted Living Facility regulations.
• Deliver CSL Signature Service Programs to residents in memory care and assisted living.
• Assist in completing and updating UAIs and ISPs as needed.
• Participate in care plan and family meetings and communicate resident involvement.
• Train and supervise staff for the activity programs and supervise volunteers.
