Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to manage occupancy and ensure compliance with Tax Credit MSHDA and Lockwood policies. You will handle renewals, re-certifications, waitlists, and lease signings, while maintaining strong resident relations.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential to guide residents and coordinate with the Community Manager and management team, ensuring timely notices and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Tax Credit affordable housing and re-certifications preferred.
• Strong organizational and numerical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain occupancy and ensure compliance with Tax Credit MSHDA and policies.
• Send renewal notices and process re-certifications promptly.
• Handle waitlists, inspections, leases, and resident communications.
• Coordinate interviews, handbooks, keys, and lease signings.
• Monitor HUD rules, Fair Housing laws, and income requirements.
