Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife’s Center Communities of Brookline seeks an Occupancy Specialist to support leasing, waiting list management, and certifications under HUD and LIHTC guidelines. The role partners with Facilities and Property Management to turn units quickly and ensure compliance with lease terms and house rules.

The ideal candidate has a college degree and experience in property management, with strong customer service and knowledge of HUD regulations.

Qualifications

• College degree and/or 3 years experience in property management.
• Certified Professional of Occupancy Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience with HUD Section 8 Affordable Housing Program and knowledge of HUD, MassHousing and EHOLC regulations and policies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with leasing apartments at CCB while meeting occupancy goals and HUD/MassHousing requirements.
• Responds to telephone inquiries and explains housing program requirements to applicants.
• Interviews applicants and conducts tours.
• Maintains the waiting list per HUD policies and regulations.
• Processes applicants from application to admission under Section 8 and LIHTC, verifying income and data in Yardi.
