Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to manage leasing for HSL Stoughton LLC & Simon C. Fireman Community, ensuring compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and related regulations. The role emphasizes customer service, accurate data entry in Yardi, and coordination with Facilities to support timely turnovers.

The position requires a college degree or equivalent property management experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle complex housing programs and resident needs.

Qualifications

• College degree or 3 years of property management experience.
• Experience with HUD Section 8 and LIHTC preferred.
• Certified Occupancy Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leasing apartments and meet occupancy goals.
• Respond to inquiries and explain program requirements.
• Interview applicants and conduct tours.
• Maintain the waiting list and ensure HUD compliance.
• Process LIHTC and Section 8 admissions in Yardi and enter data accurately.
• Assist residents with housing paperwork to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate move-ins/move-outs with Facilities to enable quick turnovers.
• Prepare annual and interim recertifications for residents.
