Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Cook - Dietary Aide to assist in daily meal preparation and nourishment for residents in a dietary program. You will help with tray assembly, serving meals, and ensuring foods meet nutritional standards while following state regulations.

The role emphasizes food handling, sanitation, temperature controls, and collaboration with the Dietary Manager to deliver timely, palatable meals that accommodate dietary needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• Functional literacy demonstrated to perform job duties.
• Background in institutional food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation for patients/residents and between-meal nourishments.
• Serve nourishments and assist in tray line setup and service.
• Store leftovers properly and follow guidelines for waste disposal.
• Record and monitor temperatures of fridge and freezers per procedures.
• Maintain and clean dishes, utensils, and serving equipment.
• Follow recipes and assist with meals per dietician plans.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation at all times.
• Assist kitchen staff and supervise where directed; report issues to supervisor.
• Support infection control and safety procedures; wear PPE as required.
• Prepare and deliver meals on time; assist with special diet needs.
