Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Cook - Dietary Aide HCC to assist in food preparation and meal service for residents. You will work under the Food Service/Dietary Manager to ensure meals meet nutritional standards and are served at the correct temperatures and times.

The role involves assisting in meal assembly, tray delivery, maintaining sanitary work areas, and supporting kitchen staff while following department policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• Experience in long term care food production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation for patients/residents and prepare between-meal nourishments.
• Serve nourishments and portion foods according to guidelines.
• Store leftovers properly and follow infection control policies.
• Deliver trays and assist with serving beverages and coffee/tea as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas and handle waste appropriately.
• Record temperatures, monitor equipment, and ensure food safety standards are met.
• Assist in supervision of kitchen staff and prepare substitutions per dietary needs.
