Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Assistant to support the Resident Programs team in planning and executing engaging activities for residents. The role includes coordinating social, recreational, and educational events, and providing transportation when needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

The position emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere, collaboration with staff, and ongoing evaluation of activities to meet residents' needs and state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
• Two years experience in activities strongly preferred.
• Must have a clear and insurable driving record and a valid driver's license; willing to drive a passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Programs team with planning, developing, and preparing a variety of exercises, social, recreational and educational events.
• Conduct transportation for residents and medical transportation as needed.
• Keep knowledge of local services and events, integrate into activity schedule.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Promote teamwork and monitor activities with other disciplines as necessary.
• Evaluate activity quality and adjust as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
