Job summary

The Community Builders is seeking a Community Life Service Coordinator for New Brunswick, NJ. This role reports to the District Manager for NYC/NJ and develops/coordinations resident services at Lord Sterling, Hope Manor, and Riverside Apartments.

The CLSC partners with management and community organizations to connect residents with resources, create individualized support plans, and advance wellness, education, and economic mobility goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience working with families in housing or human services.
• Experience with New Jersey housing/rental assistance programs preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, relationship-building and data-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with local service providers and community stakeholders.
• Connect residents to resources, programs and opportunities; provide individualized support and success plans.
• Plan and coordinate resident programs, orientations, outreach, and community-building activities.
• Conduct resident needs assessments and the annual Community Life Questionnaire.
• Develop and maintain an annual Community Success Plan and track outcomes using CL Connect.
• Coordinate with property management and the Community Life team regarding resident needs and Watch List issues.
• Support contracts, grants, volunteers, and other administrative requirements related to programming.
• Attend site meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
