Job summary

Rivaya of Des Plaines is seeking an Activity Aide to bring daily living experiences to new levels for residents at our Extended Care facility. The role centers on interacting with residents through engaging activities and fostering a social, fulfilling daily routine.

As an Activity Aide, you will facilitate group and individual activities, maintain records, help create the activity calendar, and ensure policies are followed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
