Job summary

Prairie Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic Activity Aide to enrich residents’ daily living at our Extended Care affiliated facility. The role centers on engaging activities, social interaction, and individualized plans based on assessments and resident interests.

As part of our full-time team, you will facilitate programs, maintain records, coordinate events, and support residents within a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to design and lead engaging activities for diverse residents.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs and interests.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart per policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
