Job summary

Aperion Care seeks an Activity Assistant/Aide in Illinois to support planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs aligned with each resident's care plan under supervision.

You will help maintain a warm, engaging environment, observe residents’ responses, and document progress to support overall well-being and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs and quality assurance in the Activities Department.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement to evaluate progress and document responses.
• Maintain good rapport with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly and create a warm, calm environment.
• Prepare activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs and assist with equipment/supplies as needed.
• Follow care plans when providing daily activities to residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and treat residents with dignity at all times.
• Oversee residents during activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being.
