Job summary

Towne Park Assisted Living is seeking a passionate Activity Director to lead and grow a dynamic activities program that enhances residents’ social, emotional, cognitive and physical well-being.

You will plan, implement, and oversee individualized and group activities, build relationships with residents and families, and collaborate with leadership to support each resident’s service plan. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring an Activity Director Certification.

Qualifications

• Activity Director Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required for community outings and position responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with older adults.
• Ability to develop engaging programs for varied interests and needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of applicable assisted living regulations and documentation requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and lead engaging programs that enrich residents' daily lives and foster community.
• Develop individualized and group activity programs based on residents' interests and needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families and team members to encourage participation.
• Collaborate with leadership and care teams to support residents’ well-being and service plans.
• Oversee activity calendars, documentation and program records for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities to enhance participation.
• Recruit, train and support activity staff and volunteers as applicable.
• Coordinate special events, holidays, outings and on-site activities.
• Encourage resident involvement and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain an engaging environment that promotes independence and belonging.
• Ensure activities comply with state regulations and community policies.
