Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks an Activity Director to provide a varied program of activities that promote residents' physical, mental and social well‑being.

The AD develops and implements activities aligned with assessments, supports social interaction and life enrichment across the care plan. This role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, supervision of volunteers, occasional evenings and weekends, and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nurse Aide in Kansas in good standing with completed Activity program for AD certification.
• 2 years’ experience with the elderly and knowledge of therapeutic recreation.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license; CPR course current.
• Ability to work as a team player with others in groups of all sizes.
• Effective communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group activities based on individualized care plans and assessed interests.
• Develop, schedule and maintain activity programs and monthly calendars.
• Collaborate with the Living Center Director and interdisciplinary team on care planning and MDS.
• Recruit, train and supervise Activity volunteers; participate in budget oversight.
• Assist with resident transportation as needed.
