Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Lincoln, MA, is seeking a full-time Activities/Program Director for our Assisted Living community. You will lead the development and implementation of daily activity plans, coordinate newsletters and calendars, and supervise a concierge team to meet residents’ psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.

Responsibilities

• Takes the lead in the development and implementation of an innovative daily activity plan for residents
• Produces a quality monthly newsletter and calendar and daily activity calendar
• Leads and supervises the implementation of one-on-ones, small group and large group activities according to the programming schedule
• Initiates and maintains vendor relationships, including scheduling, execution and administration of quality programming
• Leads hiring, payroll processing, and scheduling for a small concierge team
• Establishes and maintains collaborative associate relationships
• Supports, encourages and directs independent activity pursuits, both individually and in small groups
• Facilitates Resident and Family interactions via video chats or in-person visits, as health & safety procedures allow
• Supervises coordination of Holiday and Birthday Celebrations
• Demonstrates knowledge about residents in regard to background, participation needs, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity and attention span capability
