Benchmark Senior Living in Massachusetts seeks compassionate Programming/Activity Assistants to organize and implement programs meeting residents' physical, cognitive, and social needs. You will support the Activity Director and foster a caring environment across seven-day activities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and training in recreational activities, plus Alzheimer’s/dementia knowledge. Roles offer full-time and part-time opportunities with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Training or knowledge in recreational activities.
• Training or knowledge of Alzheimer’s/dementias.
• Maintains confidentiality about residents and staff.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a seven-day-a-week activity program that is engaging.
• Lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities per schedule.
• Support independent activity pursuits for residents individually or in groups.
• Support residents by viewing all care aspects as an activity.
• Know residents' background, abilities, interests, and cognitive capacity.
• Encourage residents to attend and participate in programming.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition or behavior to the Harbor Care Director.
• Stay with groups during excursions.
