Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Ann Arbor, MI seeks an Activities Coordinator to lead Engage Life programs and provide a variety of resident activities with appropriate supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engage Life programs and activities for residents.
• Provide adequate and diversified recreational activities with supervision for each activity.
• Develop programs for residents, including for those confined to rooms.
• Engage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Inform residents of upcoming activities and maintain a current schedule of events.
• Greet new residents and introduce them to others with similar interests.
• Assist in planning parties and decorate the community according to season/holiday, including monthly birthday parties.
• Assist Bright Beginnings including housewarmings.
• Support census-building initiatives within the community.
• Maintain records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• Assist Engage Life Director in enlisting volunteers to aid the activities program.
• May drive the company vehicle as required by the community.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
