Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Tucson, AZ is seeking an engaged Activities Coordinator to lead Engage Life programs and create meaningful recreational experiences for residents, including those who are confined to rooms. You will organize events, maintain schedules, welcome new residents, and involve volunteers to support the community's activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience acceptable.
• Able to write simple correspondence and effectively present information one-on-one or in small groups to customers, clients, and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned Engage Life programs to engage residents meaningfully.
• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities with supervision.
• Develops programs for residents including those confined to their rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents to participate in activities.
• Maintains a current schedule of events and informs residents of upcoming activities.
• Greets new residents and helps include them in activities with others of similar interests/backgrounds.
• Plans parties and activities and decorates the community for seasons/holidays; plans monthly birthday celebrations.
• Supports census-building initiatives and enlists volunteers to aid the activities program.
• May drive the company vehicle to social and other destinations (if required).
• Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.
