Job summary

PACS, an Ohio healthcare provider, is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, treat speech and swallowing issues, and communicate with families, physicians, and the health team. Documentation will be maintained in medical records.

The role includes developing individualized treatment plans, supervising CFYs or students, training facility staff, and participating in care conferences and quality initiatives while adhering to licensure and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master's/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
• Proficiency with health record systems such as Net Health and PCC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve function.
• Supervise CFY/Students in resident care following state rules.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families.
• Participate in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in line with policies.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
