Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform interior and exterior maintenance, respond to resident work orders, and uphold safety standards across our apartment communities. The role focuses on timely repairs, property upkeep, and delivering exceptional resident service while maintaining privacy and safety.

Ideal candidates have basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems, plus strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for assisting residents.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-call hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Market Ready apartments with painting, carpet repairs, cleaning and related tasks for quality move-in.
• Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance as scheduled (painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, filters, trash area).
• Maintain community equipment including plumbing, lighting, A/C, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident and staff repair requests.
• Report maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, common areas, and equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain resident privacy and obtain proper authorization before entering apartments.
• Keep maintenance items in safe areas to prevent injuries.
• Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions.
• Coordinate with vendors for landscaping, painting, asphalt, etc.
• Follow state, local, and federal fair housing laws and OSHA safety requirements.
