Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform interior and exterior maintenance, respond to service requests, and uphold safety standards. The role emphasizes craftsmanship, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional resident service across a growing southeastern US portfolio.

Responsibilities include preparing market-ready units, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining safety and privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of prior maintenance experience, ideally in a similar facility.
• HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Market Ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs.
• Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance as scheduled; may include painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, filter replacement, etc.
• Perform maintenance and repair on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to resident and staff repair requests promptly and professionally.
• Report maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, common areas, or equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain resident privacy and safety; ensure items are kept in a safe area.
• Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Attend in-service trainings and education sessions.
• Work with vendors for landscaping, painting asphalt, etc.
• Follow state, local, and federal fair housing laws and OSHA safety requirements.
