Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of on-site repairs and preventative tasks at an assigned community. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and fellow staff to keep the property safe, functional and well-maintained.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of maintenance experience, ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and a willingness to work weekends and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience, preferably in apartment industry.
• EPA certification Type I and II preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays as required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and repairs promptly and thoroughly.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with inventory monitoring of tools and supplies.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
• Ensure safety and tidy work areas; uphold customer service standards.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features to minimize liability.
• Support move-in/move-out process and maintenance-related turn events.
• Perform scheduled maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs for maintenance activities.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Address complaints and resolve issues professionally.
