Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a range of maintenance tasks at our apartment community. You will handle service requests, preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep the property in top condition and within budget.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of maintenance experience ( apartment industry preferred), with HVAC/plumbing/electrical repair skills and EPA Type I/II certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA certification Type I and II preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Complete all service requests and repairs in a thorough, timely manner.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with inventory monitoring of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with policies.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, vendors and supervisors.
• Adhere to budget guidelines and support preventative maintenance programs.
