Job summary

Westbrooke Manor seeks a Dietary Aide to support dietary operations and assist with meal preparation according to established policies.

You will collaborate with the facility’s dietician to implement recommended changes and ensure confidentiality of resident care information while maintaining a warm, respectful environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with special meals, maintaining supplies, and upholding safety and hygiene standards in a well-lit kitchen area.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 12th grade education or equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.
• Must possess and maintain an “Eligible” ACHA Background Screening status.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with the facility's dietician and implement recommended changes.
• Ensure dietary procedures follow established policies; assist where needed.
• Develop and maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff to support meals.
• Assist in food preparation for special meals and events.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
