Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Department in a long-term care setting. You will perform routine dietary tasks, assist with meal preparation and service, and ensure residents are served on time with a focus on safety and sanitation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred institutional dietary experience. You must be able to read recipes and diet orders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours, including emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred or required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Numerical accuracy for recipe preparation and measurement of cleaning agents; good motor coordination and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including emergencies; patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long-term care regulations and Dietary Department policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts and serving meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents; wash and store dishes.
• Report any damaged fixtures or unsafe equipment and assist with safety procedures.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies.
