Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and serving in accordance with menus and special diets. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area, follow infection control practices, and deliver snacks and meals to residents.

The role requires patience and a positive attitude, with duties including dishwashing, food service, and occasional relocation of supplies as needed, all performed in a care-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; inspect food service areas for sanitation, order, safety.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm; handle residents appropriately.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and incorporate them into practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders; provide bedtime snacks and substitutions.
• Ensure department is clean and safe; follow Infection Control Precautions.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning; ensure utensils are available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks; deliver carts and trays; serve in dining room; sweep/mop floors as directed.
