Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, maintain kitchen safety, and deliver appealing presentations.

You will work with a supportive team, handle inventory, and uphold high sanitation standards. Prior cooking experience and ability to lift 50 pounds are required; ServSafe certification may be needed by state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must work around food and cleaning products.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required per state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
