Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company seeks a Leasing Specialist in a multifamily community to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction. You will show apartments, qualify leads, run background checks, and prepare leases while coordinating marketing efforts and maintenance for smooth onboarding.

Responsibilities include lease renewals, using Yardi/OneSite, and collaborating with the Property Manager to ensure a positive living experience and strong financial performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of leasing, sales, or customer service experience; property management preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Experience using social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident and vendor interaction.
• Weekend flexibility may be required.
• Valid driver's license for potential golf cart operation.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and showcase available apartments and amenities.
• Qualify leads, process rental applications, run background and credit checks, and prepare lease documents.
• Ensure units are move-in ready by inspecting them and coordinating with maintenance.
• Execute lease agreements and move-in packages to onboarding new residents.
• Design and implement marketing plans to generate traffic and maintain occupancy.
• Promote the community via digital platforms and email campaigns.
• Coordinate referrals and local outreach, and participate in networking.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions, rental rates, and trends.
• Support retention with strong customer service and timely responses.
• Maintain records using property management software (Yardi, OneSite).
• Assist with rent collection and delinquent accounts; support admin tasks for PM.
