Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive occupancy at a multifamily community. You will show and lease apartments, coordinate marketing, and assist in daily operations to ensure a positive living experience and strong financial performance.

Responsibilities include processing applications, running credit checks, preparing lease documents, conducting tours, and maintaining records with Yardi or OneSite. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in leasing, sales, or customer service; property management experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Experience using social media for marketing is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with multitasking ability.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident/vendor interaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and showcase apartments and amenities.
• Qualify leads, process rental applications, run background and credit checks, and prepare lease documents.
• Ensure units are move-in ready and coordinate with maintenance.
• Execute lease agreements and move-in packages; support onboarding.
• Design and implement marketing plans to generate traffic and occupancy.
• Promote the community via digital platforms and email campaigns.
• Coordinate resident referrals and employer outreach; participate in networking.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions, rental rates, and trends.
• Support resident retention with excellent customer service and timely responses.
• Conduct follow-up with prospects and residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with lease renewals and record-keeping in property management software.
• Keep guest cards updated and follow up on all leads.
• Assist with rent collection and delinquency management as needed.
• Maintain a presentable leasing office and tour path.
