Job summary

RPM Living is hiring an Assistant Community Manager for an on-site role in Lombard, IL. You will greet prospects, process applications, run credit checks, show apartments, and close leases while managing renewals and move-outs.

You’ll handle rent collections, enforce lease terms, address resident questions, and promote engagement through social media & community events. A path to career growth is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in customer service or apartment leasing; accounting background preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; basic project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects professionally using guest cards in Lead Management Software; assist with applications and deposits per procedures and Fair Housing.
• Maintain updated availability report; process applications (credit checks, rental history) and seek approval from Community Manager; follow up on status.
• Show apartments and close sales; prepare for move-ins; obtain signatures and provide community orientation.
• Manage lease renewals; send renewal notices; handle move-outs; apply fees and keep PM software up to date.
• Manage rental collections; enforce lease terms; track fees; initiate evictions when needed for financial compliance.
• Promote resident satisfaction by promptly addressing complaints and requests and taking appropriate actions.
• Follow eviction procedures including notices and court representation as needed.
• Conduct market research and outreach marketing; update Radix as needed.
• Maintain an active social media presence for the property to enhance visibility and engagement; complete necessary lease-related paperwork.
