Volunteer Properties is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to help oversee daily operations at a multi-family apartment community. You will support leasing, resident relations, rent collection, renewals, and overall property performance.

This role is ideal for someone organized, people-focused, and eager to grow in property management. The position involves building strong resident relationships, handling maintenance requests, and assisting with renewals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assistant property management experience.
• Onesite experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; willing to learn new systems.
• Experience with conflict resolution and tenant relations.
• Positive, energetic, and aligned with company values.
• Must be able to provide proof of valid driver's license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with residents and prospects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure completion.
• Handle leasing tours and questions.
• Process rent payments and late notices.
• Manage renewals and retention efforts.
• Maintain resident files and property records.
• Assist the Community Manager with daily operations.
• Take on additional projects as needed.
