Job summary

Volunteer Properties seeks an Assistant Community Manager to help oversee daily operations at a multi-family community in Chattanooga. You will assist leasing, resident relations, rent collection, renewals, and overall property performance while supporting the Community Manager and maintaining resident files.

Ideal candidates are organized, people-focused, with strong communication and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years assistant property manager experience.
• Onsite experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; willing to learn new systems.
• Experience with conflict resolution and tenant relations.
• Positive, energetic, and aligned with company values.
• Must be able to provide proof of valid vehicle insurance.
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with residents and prospects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure completion.
• Handle leasing tours and questions.
• Process rent payments and late notices.
• Manage renewals and retention efforts.
• Maintain resident files and property records.
• Assist the Community Manager with daily operations.
• Take on additional projects as needed.
