Job summary

RPM Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in Durham, NC to greet prospects, process applications, manage leases, and promote resident satisfaction. The role requires coordinating with property teams and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws.

The position is onsite, with duties including rent collection, renewals, move-ins/outs, and maintaining accurate records in the property management system. State-of-the-art tools support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or apartment leasing is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management helps.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, process applications/deposits, and follow Fair Housing requirements.
• Maintain availability reports and process applications including credit checks and rental history verification.
• Show apartments, close sales, prepare move-ins, and obtain signatures for leases.
• Manage lease renewals, notices, move-outs, and update property management software.
• Oversee rental collections, enforce lease terms, and handle evictions when needed.
• Respond promptly to resident questions/requests to maintain satisfaction.
• Follow eviction procedures and assist with court proceedings as needed.
• Conduct market research and update Radix or equivalent systems.
• Maintain an active social media presence to boost visibility and engagement.
• Complete all paperwork for leases, move-ins, move-outs, and peak periods.
