Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator in Rockwall, TX. The role focuses on building relationships with residents through a person-centered approach, planning monthly activities with input from residents, and coordinating events with the community leadership team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience with adults, coordinating, planning and executing programs is required.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses a person-centered approach to build relationships among residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar with residents based on shared interests.
• Plans, coordinates and executes special events at the community (holiday, family, educational, marketing events).
• Schedules meaningful resident engagement opportunities outside the community, including driving a community vehicle.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field
