Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator to support aging residents with engaging programs at our communities. The role emphasizes person-centered care, event planning, and building connections with residents and families.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year coordinating programs for adults, a high school diploma or GED, and prefers a bachelor’s in a related field. A valid driver’s license is required to support off-site activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs for adults.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses a person-centered approach to build relationships among residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar with residents' interests in mind.
• Collaborates with community leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute events.
• Plans and schedules meaningful resident engagement outside the community, including driving residents when needed.
