Job summary

Distinctive Living welcomes a Part Time Resident Experience Assistant for Mira Vie at Clifton in Clifton, NJ. The role covers weekend shifts (every other weekend) from 9am to 5pm, coordinating resident activities and ensuring a welcoming, engaging environment for seniors.

The position requires orienting new residents to programs, planning monthly calendars, arranging outside entertainment, and coordinating transportation and events within budget.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in Social Service, Business, or related field.
• Must have proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
• Minimum of three years' experience in assisted living preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident interest and activity needs at move-in and ongoing; orient residents to the activity program.
• Coordinate and carry out resident activities daily within budget; develop monthly activity calendar; promote activities to increase participation.
• Plan quarterly resident events involving marketing efforts; coordinate with Community Relations Director and management staff.
• Provide and staff transportation for resident activities; schedule monthly outings including site-seeing and medical trips; coordinate medical visit transportation.
• Ensure safety standards are followed by staff; assist with investigations and communications with care providers and management company.
• Foster teamwork and initiative; support others beyond job responsibilities; maintain a positive impact on residents and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
