Job summary

Distinctive Living in Clifton, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Server for Mira Vie at Clifton (3:30pm–7:30pm, every other weekend). The Server reports to the Director of Restaurant and Hospitality and ensures quality service while accommodating special diets.

The role focuses on creating a positive dining experience, training staff, and maintaining a safe, clean dining room for residents and visitors alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education; experience in food service preferred.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and make decisions.
• Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Pleasant, professional, and personable.

Responsibilities

• Develops a positive customer service culture in the dining room through staff training.
• Ensures staff provides service that maintains resident experiences during meals.
• Maintains a clean dining room; equipment, walls, tables, chairs and linens kept clean.
• Ensures safety compliance and assists with investigations if injuries occur.
• Fosters teamwork with co-workers and has a positive impact on residents and visitors.
