Job summary

Distinctive Living seeks a Medication Aide for the Mira Vie at Clifton community in Clifton, NJ. This part-time position includes every other weekend shifts and responsibilities for medication administration and resident care under supervision.

You will document tasks, follow resident service plans, communicate with medical staff and families, and assist with meals while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of caregiving experience or similar function.
• State-required HHA or CNA license.
• Six months supervisory experience in health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to MARs.
• Understanding of medical terminology to pass medications and communicate.

Responsibilities

• Follows services outlined in each resident's plan and passes medications per orders.
• Documents completion of daily tasks.
• Notes changes in condition per rules and policies.
• Communicates with other Medication Aides about resident needs.
• Assists in meal service and dining room duties.
• Maintains required certifications and completes trainings.
• Complies with HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
