Job summary

Fernwood Property Management is seeking a full-time Concierge in Chicago to support daily building operations and provide excellent resident service. The role covers move-ins, service requests, access control, and ensuring the lobby and offices remain professional and welcoming.

Responsibilities include greeting residents by name, processing packages, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining a positive image of the Residential Team.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a customer service-related role required.
• One year in property management or hospitality field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet navigation.
• Experience using Salesforce preferred.
• Excellent customer service and follow-through skills required.
• Adaptable under pressure and able to manage resident concerns.
• Must pass criminal background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to residents at all times.
• Process and follow up on service requests, move-ins, and accessibility concerns.
• Maintain security and access control, including visitor records and keys.
• Answer phones and greet residents by name in a professional manner.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor building safety, surveillance, and reporting of suspicious activity.
• Assist with mail, packages, and dry cleaning handling for residents.
• Support resident relations and host resident functions as needed.
• Keep concierge desk and common areas clean, organized, and presentable.
