Job summary

Fernwood Property Management is seeking a part-time Concierge for the 2nd shift in Chicago, IL. You will deliver prompt, courteous service to residents, handle service requests, and manage building access and packages.

Key duties include welcoming residents, processing move-ins, coordinating with teams, and maintaining a professional front desk. The role requires strong communication and customer service skills and a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum two years in a customer service-related role required.
• One year in property management or hospitality preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Salesforce preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous service to residents.
• Process and follow up on service requests.
• Maintain security and access control for residents and visitors.
• Monitor building surveillance and report suspicious activity.
• Assist with move-ins/move-outs and elevator scheduling.
• Answer calls using standard greeting; document interactions.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues.
• Complete required training, including fair housing laws.
