Job summary

Havenpark Communities in Clarkston, MI, is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to be the heartbeat of our community. The role supports the Community Manager, plans events, ensures rent collection, coordinates move-ins, and serves as the friendly liaison between leadership and residents.

The ideal candidate is organized and empathetic, capable of juggling tasks, building relationships, and proactively addressing resident concerns to maintain a welcoming home environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of property management experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to sit for long periods and lift supplies as needed.
• Annual or semi-annual travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engaging community events.
• Ensure rent is collected on time.
• Coordinate move-ins and prepare move‑in paperwork.
• Prepare bills and statements for approval and ensure timely rent collection.
• Complete all necessary legal actions and notices in compliance with State and Fair Housing Standards.
• Assist the Community Manager and Sales team to ensure homes are ready for new residents and move-ins are seamless.
• Coordinate the paperwork for new move-ins and lease renewals with accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage work orders to ensure maintenance requests are completed within 48 hours.
