Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator in Portage, MI to build relationships with residents and plan engaging programs. You’ll work with the community leadership team to design monthly resident calendars and coordinate events that foster connection and well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs for adults.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a person-centered approach, building relationships and connections among residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar in partnership with residents based on shared interests.
• Collaborates with the community leadership team to plan, coordinate and execute special events.
• Plans and schedules meaningful opportunities for resident engagement outside the community, which may include driving a community vehicle.
