Job summary

Serenity Estates of Morris is seeking an Activity Aide to create engaging experiences for residents, promoting socialization, mental stimulation, and overall wellbeing in a compassionate, patient-centered setting.

You will plan and lead activities, document participation, and work with the care team to tailor activities to resident interests. A high school diploma is required; new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
• 0 years of experience in healthcare; new graduates welcome.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing activities for residents, including arts and crafts projects, games, exercises, and outings
• Lead and facilitate group activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
• Build relationships with residents and their families, understanding their interests and preferences
• Work collaboratively with other care team members to develop personalized activity plans
• Document activity participation and feedback from residents and families
• Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with setup and cleanup for activities
