Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator to foster supportive, enriching experiences for residents in our Ohio community. You will design monthly calendars, plan events, and collaborate with the leadership team to create meaningful connections and activities that enhance daily living.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience coordinating programs for adults, a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs for adults.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, healthcare, education, or related field preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; may need a commercial license depending on community needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a person-centered approach to aging, building relationships with residents.
• Develops monthly calendars with input from residents.
• Coordinates and executes special events with community leadership (holiday, family, educational, marketing events).
• Plans meaningful activities outside the community and may operate a community vehicle.
