Job summary

Yona is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will organize, direct, and supervise staff, ensuring high-quality dining programs and resident satisfaction in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This role requires ServSafe Manager and CDM/CFPP credentials, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification and CDM/CFPP credentials.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Windows Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains staff in procedures and equipment operation.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises dietary functions.
• Supervises and evaluates quality of work performed by department staff.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Plans staffing schedules to ensure adequate services and maintains staffing levels.
• Maintains required records including inventory, compliance, income/expense and personnel records.
• Conducts management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages cost-effective programs to budget and ensures survey-readiness.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Promotes professional growth and development of the department.
