Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Services Associate to support the Dining Services Director in delivering a signature dining program for residents.

The role runs 7am-3pm, 3-5 days per week, including every other weekend. You will prepare and serve meals, ensure safety and sanitation, and maintain a welcoming dining atmosphere for seniors. Full-time benefits are noted for associates and a culture of care is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food service industry is required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances; tolerate kitchen heat.
• Must be free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Follow HACCP and WHMIS guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment with proper hand washing and cleaning routines.
• Serve meals in a pleasant, respectful manner, mindful of residents' needs.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment; follow cleaning schedules.
