Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain one or more properties, ensuring good working order and curb appeal while delivering excellent resident service.

You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and make-readies, while coordinating with vendors and management. A positive, professional attitude and teamwork are essential to support a safe, well-maintained community for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality maintenance service and exceptional customer service.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance following policy and safety standards.
• Finish make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and punch lists.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts where feasible and track inventory.
