Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow menus, ensure quality and presentation, and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

This role requires a high school diploma, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to sanitation standards. Training such as ServSafe may be required; strong communication and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cooking/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and clear communication with building occupants, administration, and leadership.
• COVID-20 vaccination policies compliance.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
